Melanie Madon Appointed to Hollywood Marine Advisory Board

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (August 28 , 2008) – Melanie Madon, President and Co-Founder of Global Yachting Media, the yachting industry’s only integrated marketing communications firm, has been appointed to the newly created Hollywood Marine Advisory Board.

The Marine Advisory Board’s responsibilities include developing ways to increase revenue for Hollywood’s marine industry, developing strategies to encourage students and residents to pursue careers in the marine industry, and developing strategies to increase marine activities and opportunities for Hollywood’s residents and visitors. Madon’s appointment runs through June 30, 2011.

“I have been a resident of the City of Hollywood for 22 years, and I’m proud to serve the city and its marine industry in this capacity,” said Madon, a 20-plus year yachting industry veteran who has worked in various aspects of the industry, from brokerage to marketing to real estate development. “I look forward to working with the other board members to develop recommendations for increasing Hollywood’s visibility on the South Florida yachting scene.”
